RESEARCH PILOT

An experimental education module is being piloted with leading schools offering secondary education in the fine arts in six European countries, in the United States and in Israel to explore research into mobilizing the senses to give aesthetic measure to feeling and sensation in a non-visual environment.

Leading contemporary artists will mentor groups of students with the objective of opening new channels of learning and creativity. Exemplary projects will be presented at the opening of the biennale.

The program will promote collaboration between art students and counterparts dealing in research and technology – a bridge between art and science to inspire multidisciplinary reflection and introduce researchers to the creative process in this most particular context.

Groups will be evaluated on the depth of their artistic exploration, on their assimilation of sense-related research, and on their integration of technologies and techniques. A presentation of process and rational will accompany these artistic efforts.

A list of participating schools will soon be released.
